The lineage of the Pandavas and Kauravas is traced to King Bharat, son of Shakuntala and King Dushyant. Kalidasa, the great Sanskrit poet and dramatist, adapted it into his memorable play "Abhijnana Shakuntalam". The master's works have been translated into almost all major languages of the world.
